<DIV style="MARGIN-BOTTOM: 12pt"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt"><BR>Mayor Greg Ballard today announced plans for the city's first "Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans" event, an Armed Services Day event to honor Vietnam veterans and their families.<BR><BR>"This is an important recognition of the sacrifice and service of Vietnam veterans, a group of men and women who were never properly welcomed home," Mayor Ballard said. "We have an opportunity now to thank them for their service, and I invite everyone in the community to come show their support and respect."<BR><BR>The community is invited and encouraged to join Mayor Ballard, community leaders, veterans and active service men and women on May 17, 2008 at the Indiana War Memorial.
