First, we need to realize preparation for March 11th was (unfortunately) compressed into a few short weeks where as a normal campaign cycle is much longer.  Although the outcome was not as we hoped, the efforts of all my volunteers and other supports must be recognized with a huge THANK YOU!  Without your help I would not have accomplished as much as I did.
 
We knew going into battle, the odds were against us and I was honored to have the support of so many Republicans along with cross-over support of many Dems in this race.  Now, it's time to take a fresh look at the battlefield and reassess the situation.  Many questions will be answered when 7th Congressional District voters go to the polls again on May 6th and potentially new questions presented to the Elrod campaign team as a result.  
 
At this point, I encourage everyone to take a deep breath, enjoy time with your friends and family and celebrate the end of "phase I".  I believe everyone did as much as they could to positively impact the outcome of March 11th race - and for that I, again, thank all of you.
